Find a current article about Android™, iOS, or Windows® Phone development environments and write a 1-to 2-page paper discussing the article and its relevance to this week’s individual assignment.

Assignment 2: Create a Mobile App

Assignment Preparation: Activities include watching the Lynda.com videos, completing the SkillSoft courses, completing the Internet search, independent student reading, and research.

Watch “Understanding iOS Specifics,” of the Lynda.com “Building a Note-Taking App for iOS 6,” video.

Watch “Understanding Android Specifics,” of the Lynda.com “Building a Note-Taking App for Android,” video.

Complete the SkillSoft course, “Introduction to Programming for Mobile Applications – Developing an Application for Android.”

Complete the SkillSoft course, “Introduction to Programming for Mobile Applications – Developing an Application for iPhones.”

Complete an Internet search using a phrase such as free mobile app builder.

Assignment: Review the results of your search and select one service that you will use to build your sample app (such as http://www.appmakr.com/ or http://ibuildapp.com/login.php).

Create a 4-screen app to sell comic books using the selected app builder. As it will not be possible for you to actually publish your app, take a screen shot of each screen and paste each into a single Microsoft® Word document. Be creative.
