Book Report Outline
1. Make sure to include the book’s title, author, publisher and date of publication on the cover page of your report.

2. The book report should not be less than five and not more than eight pages.

3. It should be typed double-spaced and should be divided into three sections. All pages should be numbered

4. The font size (size of the type) should be 12 point, no larger.

1. Section 1. – The general story or plot of the book. This section should be no more than 2 typewritten pages.

2. Section 2. Pick out on or two ideas presented in the book which are new to you and develop them. (three pages)

3. Section 3. Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the book – citing examples (two pages). Sections 2 and 3 of the report figure into the grade far more prominently than section 1.
