Clearly explain the environmental issue assigned to your group: what is going on and what is at stake and what are the key disagreements?

I have a presentation in my religion and enviroment class, the presentation is based on a chapter of a book called “Grounding religion”. I have the book in NOOK books , which is a digital copy that you can access through my account. I will need it in TWO days no longer than that, you can add a video as well to the presentation, it’s going to be 7-10 min long the whole the thing , I will paste the instructions here please read it carefully and ask me any questions you need. I will give you access to the book after we agree about everything.

here is the instructions:

you will make a presentation to the class, between 7-10 minutes, in which you link the reading for the day (the chapter on “Place” inGrounding Religion) to one of the issues in the group presentation assignment.  Note that the class will already have heard a presentation about the issue, so your task is less to introduce the topic and more to help the class understand what the chapter has to teach about it.

Your presentation should accomplished four goals:

  1. EXPLAIN THE ISSUE. Clearly explain the environmental issue assigned to your group: what is going on and what is at stake and what are the key disagreements? This will require careful reading.
  2. ARTICULATE TWO POSSIBLE RESPONSES TO THAT ISSUE FROM THE CHAPTER:  In the chapter, three approaches to place are discussed: phenomenology, bioregionalism, and cultural geography.  Choosetwoof these and speculate about how each would address the issue you have chosen, emphasizing how they would take different positions and why those differences might be important.  This will require thoughtful examination of the chapter.
  3. BE ENGAGING. Offer some creative and engaging perspective to energize the class. Do not make your entire presentation straightforward recitation of facts and quotes. Spice it up.  Engage the class. Surprise us. This will require creativity.

In addition to your presentation, you should write up a brief explanation about how you will accomplish all three goals, and turn that in to me on the day of your presentation, before you present. I am happy to talk with you about the presentation as you prepare it if you would like.

Let me know if you have any questions.
