Identify a problem and three potential solutions

The Final Project for this class is a Formal Report. It is due on Wednesday of Week Four by 11:59 PM Eastern time. You will follow the format found on pages 417-430 of your textbook. Please review the sections that should be included as indicated below.

Your paper will need to identify a problem and three potential solutions. The topic should be appropriately related to your area of study or a professional matter. The topic should be specific and career based. Consider issues such as occupational safety, cultural diversity, violence or bullying, staffing or personnel, technology, communication, policy or compliance. Avoid general topic or topics unrelated to professional life. The questions on page 413 (24.8 and 24.9) offers some guidance on topics, you may review these for example only. These are not the topic selections.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1500- 1800 minimum word requirement includes the LETTER OF TRANSMITTAL (no more than one page), EXECUTIVE SUMMARY(no more than one page), and BODY of the report (minimum of 1000 words). The Title Page, Table of Contents, and the References Page DO NOT count in the required word count. Papers with less than 1500 words will earn a grade deduction based on a percentage of words submitted to words required. The key here is to address the material directly.
  • You must include five appropriate sources. Use of the Keiser eLibrarydatabases is strongly receommended.
  • You must use in-text citations in APA Style. NOTE: The example in the book uses MLA format. APA format is required for citing sources and reference page. Manuscript format should follow the book.

Please Note: Proper documentation is required for all source use. Failure to document sources correctly (plagiarism) will result in a zero. Do not wait until the last minute to submit your work. It is your responsibility to submit work on time and as required, submit on time or early to avoid any problems.

Student has not synthesized the material and has only provided snapshots of information.
Argument Student has effectively argued the main points and the paper evidences mastery in critical assessment. Student has mostly argued the main points though minor omissions are noted. Student has argued the main points but has not fully explored the possibilities offered by the topic. Student has not argued the main points enough or maintains a biased position in the argument. Student only provides information and avoids full argument of the subject matter.
Citation and References Student has selected appropriate sources, has created a References page in proper APA style, and has appropriately integrated both direct support and properly formatted citations Student has mostly selected appropriate sources and has mostly integrated direct support and documentation in APA format. Student has selected some appropriate sources and has made and sometimes integrated direct support and documentation in APA format. Student’s choice of sources and use of documentation does not exhibit sufficient understanding of documentation. Student did not exhibit any skills in documentation at the college level.
Format Student has followed the instructions carefully and has used the appropriate formatting. It is clear that the student consulted the text and ancillary materials, and has integrated material from the Class Live sessions. The student has followed most of the information provided for this assignment. The student has followed much, but not all, of the information and instructions provided. The student has sporadically used the format required and does not evidence attention toward the requirements. The student has not followed the requirements as directed.
Grammar, Spelling, Language The student evidences mastery of syntax and diction, and has followed the rules of English grammar and mechanics. The student evidences appropriate language skills and has less than three grammar and mechanics errors. The student evidences some use of appropriate language and has less than six grammar and mechanics errors. The student uses language deemed inappropriate for formal academic writing and has more than ten grammar and mechanics errors. Student has not used language consistent with college-level writing and has extensive grammar errors.
