Being the Principal – you will create a PowerPoint presentation with the intentions of it being used to train aspiring administrators about the roles and responsibilities of the principalship.The PowerPoint presentation will contain 12-15 slides that will include the following:Title Slide- Include your name, date, and course (first slide)An explanation on the effects principals can have on student outcomes based on empirical research that includes your experiences and personal observations. Three to five scholarly articles must be used to support this information and must be formatted in APA style.Specific job responsibilities and roles of the school principal. Align each responsibility and role to the ISLLC standards in addition to Ethics for School Leaders. (The emphasis of this section is the responsibilities and roles, not the standards.)Provide descriptions for each of the following: (expectations that are being described include those classified in law, state and professional standards (typically these are located on your state department of education’s website,) the culture of the school and communities, and job market information (use the Bureau of Labor Statistics resource.)Expectations of the profession (these are the actions and behaviors that align to the ISLLC standards and are state and federally mandated)Expectations of the working conditions (these are located on your state department of education’s website)Expectation of existing job opportunities (use the Bureau of Labor Statistics)5. Reference Page (final slide)6. Slide notes are required along with solid academic writing7. Submit the completed PowerPoint presentation to Turnitin. Review your Turnitin report prior to submitting your presentation to be graded. The similarity percentage of your Turnitin report should be very low. (Please do not ask for a specific number.) Look over the report and make appropriate revision if needed; please do this before submitting your work to be graded. If your assignment is submitted with a high Turnitin percentage, it is possible I will not grade and/or your grade will be negatively impacted. Since this is the last week assignments cannot be revised once a final submission is made.Your PowerPoint presentation should include slide notes, headings, subheading, white-space, be visually pleasing and contributes to the overall message, the text is appropriate in length for the target audience and to the point, colors and background enhance the readability of the text.This assignment uses a grading rubric.
