Focus on CSR as a concept within the UK banking industry

Aim – This dissertation focuses on CSR as a concept within the UK banking industry. This will be investigated through relevant theories introduced in the literature review (which has already been complete). It will then incorporate that knowledge to the CSR reports of 3 banks; the Co-operative Bank (Co-Op), Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and Barclays.

Design/methodology/approach – Content analysis of the banks sustainability reports pre-crisis in 2007 in comparison with 2008 and 2009 to see how it has changed possibly to improve damaged reputation. The key themes: Local community, Workforce, Environment, Customers, Other.
