Dashboard details upon acceptance.Step 1: Choose a Primary SourceThe primary source must be created between 1866-1900. It needs to be something that was not provided in the readings for this course. Here are a few good places to find primary sources:Digital HistoryHistory MattersNational ArchivesLibrary of CongressFamous TrialsYou are not limited to these websites. You can use any source that was created between 1866 and 1900. If you are not sure if a source is acceptable for this assignment, please ask me before you start to write. Who was the intended audience? Why was it created (what is its purpose)? What is the historical context? What does it tell us about the time period? Why is it important?You can use your textbook and readings from the course as secondary source information. Be sure to cite any sources used other than the primary source.Step 4: Submit to the dropbox.The primary source analysis will be worth 20 points (10% of your final grade). 1 point will be taken off for every day that it is late, to a maximum 4 point deduction. No late assignments will be accepted after June 5. Any evidence of plagiarism will result in a zero on the assignment.
