Observation
Write a 1200-1500 paper on the topic of observation as one feature of the Human Factors Psychologist’s work. Observations of product
use are often considered to be more effective than interviews or focus groups in gaining knowledge about the practical utility of
consumer and trade products. Moreover, observation can supplement other forms of investigation. Conduct your field research in the
settings of the home, public space or the workplace. Your task is to observe three users of one particular type of equipment. Please
note that you are to make unobtrusive observations of individuals 18 years of age or older. Observe each individual across the span of
15 minutes.Watch what the users do with the tool. In your report out, identify the tool and its prevalence in the market place;
describe the users and the task functions and structure of the work being undertaken. Also discuss what appear to be the tool’s
usability characteristics and the user’s level of facility in operating the tool.
