This week, students finish the term. Wrapping up the course at the year 1500, students will evaluate the successes and failures of human interaction and compare development of societies by using the tools of the historian. Now skilled in the methods of the historian, students will apply their knowledge to the exploration of several regions of the world from the years 1200 CE 1500 CE. Students will engage the content covered, assess the Maxfield readings (A Comprehensive Outline of World History, chapters 27 -29), and challenge each others assumptions about the past, while discussing the social, political, and economic development of human collectives around the world.
