Final Discussion—Synthesis

As you’ve discussed with one another during the last two weeks, in this final week, you’ll be synthesizing your discussions from those first two weeks in a self-discussion short essay.

Please choose concepts from two of the three articles we’ve read for the class, as well as two concepts/discussions from the text, and discuss in whatever way you’d like to synthesize the work. What might they have to do with one another? Is there any overlap? Why might that be? How can the commentary in these articles be used to enrich our understandings of some of the more practical work in the textbook? Why would it be important to understand these concepts/practices/ideas from both a practical and theoretical level?

You could also address any of the following ideas:

1. What these articles/concepts/ideas matter with regards to writing in professional settings.

2. Why do these concepts resonate with you as a writer? Why or how might they matter to your work in the future?

3. What questions do you have coming out of having read these three articles?

4. What did these concepts/ideas/practices have you thinking about in your own majors(Finance)? In your own writing experiences?
