1. Discuss the Ethical Dilemma entitled “Dealing with Shirkers” on page 300 of the text. You are now mid-way through the course and should be well into your project. How should social loafing be handled in the team? Develop strategies to make all team members accountable. You may use the “Team Agreement”, which you should have filled out in your team, (posted in the course resources) to discuss your answer.

2. Look at the “Stages of Group Development” model in your text. What stage is your team in? What steps can you take to insure that your team is effective and productive? Why are so many companies expecting and encouraging their employees to work in teams?

3. Watch video #4 with Ellie Hurst of IBM. What are the factors that make IBM’s virtual teams so successful? Would you like to work on one of IBM’s multicultural project teams? Why or why not?
