Case 2:
Millennials, also known as the Millennial Generation or Generation Y are born from the 1980’s to the early 2000’s and constitute one of the largest demographics for business. According to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation and U.S. Census Statistics, there are about 80 million people within this cohort. I am assuming that many students in the program are designated as millennials.
They are set apart from other generations because individuals born during this time period have learned how to access and use technology at a young age. Since this group is very tech-savvy, they expect an incorporation of various communication systems from employers. If you were creating a business based on the needs of Millennials, answer the following questions:
a. What values of the Millennials would you incorporate into your business?
b. What methods of communication would you incorporate in order to maintain effective communication between you as the employer and your employee?
c. What practices would you incorporate into your business that would motivate your millennial employee to achieve his/her potential?
