Please read the following five poems that I have provided for you: I Have a Rendezvous With Death, Dulce Et Decorum Est, Excerpt from Epitaphs of the War, In Flanders Fields, and An Irish Airman Foresees His Death. I want you to write a 1-2 page answer to the following questions:
1. What, if anything do these poems have in common?
2. What do these poems tell us about the attitudes of the men who served?
3. Do you think these poems might differ from those written during an earlier war?
If so, why? If not, why?
4. After reading all of them, what impression do you have about World War 1?
Your answer should consist of 1-2 typed, double-spaced pages. Use either Times New Roman or Arial fonts. Your font size should be 12. Also, MAKE SURE YOU DO THIS! Go to the paragraph tab at the top of the page. Click on the little arrow at the bottom left and check the box that says “Don’t add space between paragraphs of the same style.”
You heading should consist of JUST your name on the top right side of the page. Then hit enter twice. Then type “Writing Assignment 1” as your heading and center space it. Then hit enter twice and start typing. Remember, make sure you set your paragraph format as mentioned in the previous paragraph. Heading should look like this, and only this:

If you have a lot to say and go over the page limit, I will not count off for it. However, you must have a minimum of one full page. I think, though, that it should probably take you two full pages to answer all of the questions fully, so take that into consideration.
