History

Barrett, Anthony. Caligula: The Corruption of Power. New Haven and London: Yale UP, 1989.
Print.
I chose this source because it is detailed and offers basic information about Caligula. It is a secondary source and a book. It has information regarding the life, reign, and death of Caligula, as well as explanations to what certain actions may have meant at the time. The author gives information in an objective manner, not giving his opinions or stating things that come off as emotional. Things are generally written in historical context and explained if there are other ideas behind what is claimed to have happened. Because the source is a book, it gives many bits of information that can be useful in learning about Caligula as well as Rome in general at the time. I would recommend using this source because it is objective and gives a lot of high quality information with some simple explanations.

i want to answer the question about this secondary book please follow the information …

To clarify:
the book you are reviewing is the SECONDARY SOURCE that you chose (and I
approved) in the ?Book Review Choice? assignment from a few weeks ago. Do not
review any other book unless you have spoken to me about it already. There are
guidelines posted in our Canvas page in this week?s module.
For Wednesday?s class: You’ll need to upload your draft to the TurnItIn
assignment, and bring two printed copies to class for review by classmates. The
printed copies must have a large (2-inch) margin on the left side of the page
to allow for your reviewers to make notes.
